Covington Park

Covington Park is a charming neighborhood in Apollo Beach, Florida just north of the active community of Waterset. The Covington Park and Waterset communities are connected between Interstate 75 and Route 41, just south of Big Bend Road. Covington Park is part of one of the liveliest areas in Apollo Beach.

The local schools are located right outside of the community gate, so children are able to walk or ride their bikes right down the street to get to school in the morning. The schools for Covington Park are Doby Elementary School, Eisenhower Middle School, and East Bay High School. The middle school and high school are both right outside of the gate. A future elementary school site is located in the community, so soon enough, there will be a middle school, high school and elementary school within walking distance from your door step.

Covington Park has a glistening community pool with a cabana to provide shade so that residents can still enjoy the outdoors during hot summer months. Residents with a pass are free to use the pool as they please as long as it is open. There are natural ponds throughout the community as well. For exercise, Covington Park has walking trails, a community center, tennis courts, basketball courts, volleyball courts, playgrounds, a sports field, and more. Grab a few of your friends or neighbors and have a fun day outside playing the different sports and games within your very own neighborhood. You could even make it a weekly affair with volleyball on Mondays, tennis on Wednesdays, and soccer or jogging around the field on Fridays. Being connected to Waterset also provides plenty of access to outdoor opportunities and The Landing community café. The active lifestyles of both communities come together to provide an abundance of opportunities for residents to get out and make friends who enjoy the same activities as each other. Covington Park also features a 2.3-acre Stone Garden Park and is surrounded by a 6-acre oak hammock. Shopping includes places including, but not limited to: Marshalls, Publix Supermarket, Sam’s Club, Bealls, and The Dollar Tree.

There is also a bowling alley in the same area as most of these shops and restaurants, so make a night out of it and have some fun. Even more, there are shopping centers in the surrounding cities. These cities also provide fun activities like museums, amusement parks, and beaches. There are dozens of unique restaurants and local shops to discover in your free time. Cities like Tampa, Sarasota, and Bradenton are all about half an hour away and can satisfy any of your travelling or get-away cravings. Take a weekend get-away to explore everything the cities around you have to offer. Sarasota has the Ringling Art Museum, Sarasota Jungle Garden, Lido Key, and a Sarasota Classic Car Museum. Bradenton has the Village of the Arts, Snead Island, and several parks. Tampa has Busch Gardens, The Florida Aquarium, Lowry Park Zoo, Museum of Science and Industry, and Dinosaur World. All of these cities have much more to offer along with their own selections of shopping malls and local restaurants.
